It is not a surveillance program with a face added, but a small creature whose life is tied to this Raspberry Pi: it sweats when the CPU is hot, pants under load, spins in place with no network and sleeps when idle late at night.
Feels the Pi’s state: temperature, load, network and time of day change its mood
Remembers you: greets you when you SSH in and sulks if you stay away for three days
Feed it files: drag a file onto the web page and it eats it (only the file name, size and extension are kept), and its personality changes
Explores your network on the first login each day and writes anexpedition report: who it met, who is new and who has gone missing
Grows up: baby, young, adult, elder
English and Traditional Chinese built in; adding a language takes just one JSON file
Light on resources: wakes every 30 seconds, systemd limits it to 10% CPU and 64 MB, and it gives way by itself when resources are tight
Notes Runs on a Raspberry Pi and needs Raspberry Pi OS (Python 3.11 or later); no pip packages to install. Tested on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. Exploration scans only your own network and results stay on the Pi. Built with Python and systemd.

After launch it scans the local network and recognizes Raspberry Pis; click Connect to open an SSH terminal in the app, or view and control the Pi’s desktop through an SSH tunnel. No…

When your program fails, a monster appears; fix the code and run the same command again to catch it. A monster’s strength comes from the stack depth, blast radius and failure rate of real projects.
slime-pi is a slime that lives in your Raspberry Pi: it feels the Pi (heat, load, network), greets you over SSH, eats files you drag onto its page, and writes a daily expedition report of your home network. Python, MIT license.
